Itinerary Highlights

Day 1 Meet and Greet at Leh pickup point. Catch Ups, acclimatization and take the much needed rest. Astro shoot in Leh outskirts.
Day 2 Sunrise shoot in Leh outskirts. Head to Lamayuru via Nimoo Confluence and Basgo Plains.Back to Leh by evening.
Day 3 Early morning head from Leh to Korzok (Tso Moriri Lake) via Shey, Thiksey and Tso Kar. Lunch on the way. Evening and Astro shoot in Korzok outskirts (Tso Moriri, Kyagar Tso).
Day 4 Sunrise shoot. Head to Hanle via Nyoma, Loma and the iconic Sango plains and its colorful hilly landscape. Astro shoot in Hanle.
Day 5 Sunrise shoot. Head to Merak (Pangong Lake) via Chushul. Lunch on the way. Sunset and Astro shoot at Pangong Lake.
Day 6 Merak to Hunder (Nubra Valley) via Shyok. Lunch on the way. Evening and astro shoot in Nubra Valley (Spotting and shooting the iconic Bactrian camels).
Day 7 Sunrise shoot in Hunder. Head to Leh via Diskit Monastery and Khardung La.
Day 8 Leh local sightseeing and shoots. Visiting Stakna village.Last round of astro shoots in Leh outskirts.
Day 9 Checkout next morning and saying our goodbyes. Tour closure.

INCLUSIONS:

On location photography mentoring including planning, creative vision and shooting
On location learning of beginner to advanced Tips/Techniques about landscape image making
Image reviews and feedback/inputs during shoots and post shoot catch up sessions
Complete post processing workflow sessions, during non-shoot hours
A combined online post processing session for participants on images made during trip, after the tour
Experiencing sample gears/kits by Nisi & Vanguard India, for shooting long exposures (on a shared basis)
Educational presentations/content

Travel in comfortable vehicles
Stays are at comfortable Home stays or Budget properties, on twin sharing basis.
All 3 meals on the first 3 days. First 2 meals on the last day.
Tea, Snacks, Water
Any entry/camera/other fees, wherever applicable

And, last but not the least - a great time shooting, learning and making new friends.

EXCLUSIONS:

To and From Leh travel arrangements/costs.
Expenses of personal nature including tips to locals, shopping etc.
Any cost arising out of emergencies (medical/otherwise) for any participant

Photography (and related) Gear Expected from Participants:

1 Camera body
1 Mid range zoom lens (24-70-105 range)
1 Wide angle lens (16 mm or wider, desirable)
1 Telephoto lens (uptil 200mm, optional)
1 Sturdy Tripod
1 Camera Bag
Camera accessories like memory cards, spare batteries, chargers, microfiber cloths, small towels etc.
Long Exposure Filter Kits (absolutely optional, we can help provide surely)

Rain covers for Bag (Much needed. We recommend 2 in fact, for reliable water protection)
Poncho/Rain Jacket for self
Warm pullovers/Windcheaters to beat the sudden rains/chills/fog
Do try and pack lighter than usual, in case you want to get some local souvenirs/tea packs and home made chocolates back home.

Expectations Setting for Participants:

Tour is Ex-Leh i.e., it starts, ends and covers for expenses in Leh (and Ladakh region).
This will be a Budget trip. We’ll ensure that stays are at comfortable properties, on a twin sharing basis.
Travel will be in comfortable vehicles
Female participants are most welcome. Single occupancy will be provided as needed at extra cost.
Non photography participants are most welcome too, but at the same cost as photography participants and long as they are willing to accept the pace of the trip.
The core theme for this excursion would be shooting and learning nature landscapes and travel photography
Astro/Night time landscape shoots shall be conducted as per weather dynamics at locations
Rising really early in mornings for pre-dawn/sunrise shoots
Shoots extending into or at times, done during evening twilights and/or night hours for astro-landscape photography (Will be a bit weather contingent, expectedly)
Respect for the place and people, at all times
Consideration and camaraderie with fellow participants during shoots and tour in general
Adherence to general Covid protocols at all times
We'll try our best to enable participants do soak in the local culture be it in terms of people interactions, trying out local cuisine or even a general sensitization about the places that we'll visit.
A Whatsapp group shall be formed before the tour start, to facilitate communications and logistics

Terms & Conditions:

50% of the tour cost to be paid in advance for booking confirmation. Remaining 50% to be paid 15 Days before the tour.
Cancellation fee : 25% of the tour cost uptil 10 days prior, 100% of advance after that.
In case due to any unforeseen circumstance, a participant wishes to leave in between the trip, no refund shall be provided.
Tour plans are contingent to Covid situation. If the tour cancellations occur due to the same, then full refund shall be provided.
In case of mid tour cancellation due to any unforeseen event/natural calamity or any situation beyond our control, no pro-rated refund shall be provided.
There will be no refund for No Shows
