Come explore the dramatic beauty of Norway’s Lofoten Island on the VisCapades Photo Tour 2026 - Magical Lofoten, a journey designed for photographers who want to capture pristine Arctic light, stunning fjords, and the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
Over 8 incredible days, we’ll travel through the Lofoten Island, photographing turquoise beaches, rugged mountains, traditional fishing villages, frozen lakes, and sweeping fjords - all under the magical auroras.
With us, you’ll learn how to make the most of each moment - from sunrise compositions to night-time aurora shooting - while enjoying one of the most enchanting landscapes on Earth.

Itinerary Highlights
-
Day 1 Arrive in Evenes. Drive to first base point - Leknes. Shoot in evening and night (Uttakleiv Beach or Vik & Haukland)

Day 2 - 4 During these 3 days, we’ll shoot some the most iconic Arctic locations including Storsandnes, Myrland, Fjords (Nusfjord, Fredvang) , Beaches (Flakstad, Skagsanden, Ramberg) spanning shoots from morning and evening twilights, daytime imagery and nightscapes (astro landscapes and aurora shoots, as conditions fan out)

Day 5 After sunrise shoot, drive from Leknes to second base point - Reine, the picturesque fishing village. After checking into our apartment with Fjords views, head out to shoot golden hour (Hamnøy bridge, Sakrisøy Yellow Cabins and Reine village) and shooting night imagery after dinner

Day 6, 7 Continue shooting daytime exposures, seascapes, twilights and night imagery as per the conditions

Day 8 We end the trip with a final sunrise session in Hamnøy before driving you back to Evenes Airport. Please book flights after 4:00 PM to allow comfortable travel time

1 Mid range zoom lens (24-70-105 range)

Camera accessories like memory cards, spare batteries, chargers, microfiber cloths, small towels etc.

Long Exposure Filter Kits (absolutely optional, we can help provide surely)

Expectations Setting for Participants:
-
Tour is Ex-Lofoten i.e., it starts, ends and covers for above mentioned inclusions.

Travel in comfortable station wagon vehicles
-
Female participants are most welcome. Single occupancy will be provided as needed.

Non photography participants are most welcome too, but at the same cost as photography participants. Also, they should be willing to accept the pace of the tour as photography trips tend to be slower than usual leisure trips.

The core theme for this excursion would be shooting and learning nature landscapes and astro-landscapes (including auraras) using both camera and drone (if you have one)
-
Astro/Night time landscape shoots shall be conducted as per weather dynamics at locations
-
Rising really early in mornings for pre-dawn/sunrise shoots.
-
Shoots extending into or at times, done during evening twilights and/or night hours for astro-landscape photography
-
March in Lofoten ranges from +2°C to -10°C; strong winds, snow and rain expected
-
Please book flights after 4:00 PM to allow comfortable travel time.
